Chen Shalita

Chen served 23 years in the Israeli Air Force, after which he graduated with honors from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology earning a B.A.in Architecture. Chen then worked as an Architect for Diamond and Schmitt Architects in Toronto, one of the leading Architectural firms in North America, with a select group of LEED Architects specializing in Green Building.  There Chen received LEED Accredited Professional certification as well as training by the Canadian Green Building council to lead Integrative Design Process planning teams.  
Chen is a board member of the Israeli green building council, and was a member of the Israeli Standard Institute geothermal professional committee. Chen led the Israeli team to win several prizes at the Solar Decathlon in China. Today, Chen lectures at conferences and academic institutions on advanced sustainable design and construction technologies. 
Jerome Sebbag

Jerome Sebbag

LEED AP BD + C | Civil Engineer (MSc) | Associate

After graduating with a Masters in Science in Civil Engineering from INSA Lyon in France, Jerome completed a Post Master Degree in International Energy Management at Mines ParisTech in Paris and Tsignhua University in Beijing. Jerome worked on various high profile international sustainable design projects in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with many years of experience in whole building energy simulations for prominent projects such as the Pearl River Tower in China. Jerome heads the Building Science Department at Alfa, which focuses on advanced simulations for energy, daylight, solar radiation, CFD, and more.
Aviva Yasner

Aviva Yasner

LEED AP O + M | Urban Planner (MSc candidate)

Aviva completed her undergraduate degree as an Andrew Carnegie Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University with an interdisciplinary BA in Energy and the Environment and Middle Eastern Studies. Aviva served with honors as a Project Manager (Sgt. Res.) in the “Blue Builds Green” Department within the Infrastructure Engineering Division of the Israeli Air Force (HQ). There, she managed large-scale renewable energy, water efficiency and Green Building projects and initiatives for Air Force bases throughout Israel. Aviva is currently a MSc. Urban and Regional Planning candidate at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. 

Laurel Dorfman

Laurel Dorfman

WELL AP, LEED GA | BArchSci, MA Env. Studies

Laurel is a graduate of the Porter School at Tel-Aviv University with a Master’s of Arts in Environmental Studies. She holds a Bachelors in Architectural Science with a Building Science specialization from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. In Toronto, Laurel worked in architecture and engineering firms on a range of projects from the schematic planning phases to detailing envelope restorations. Laurel specializes in biophilic design and the WELL Building Standard.

Yaniv Yehezkel

Yaniv Yehezkel

LEED GA | Environmental Engineer (BSc)

Yaniv graduated from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He specializes in building science simulations, large scale technical-economic feasibility studies (energy generation systems, etc.), and is a project manager for some of Alfa’s largest projects (net zero energy-water-waste, LEED, etc.). Yaniv also participated in and led a variety of projects including environmental and water engineering design, as well as WWTP turnkey and contaminated soil treatment projects.

Omer Raz

Omer Raz

LEED GA | Environmental Engineer (BSc)

Omer graduated from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on Heat Transfer and Renewable Energy. He’s studying for an M.A. in Environmental Science in Porter School of Environment of Tel Aviv University with a focus on Urban Sustainability. 

Benjy Brandwein

Benjy Brandwein

LEED GA | Environmental Engineer (BSc)

Benjy is a graduate of the Grove School of Engineering at the City College of New York. Benjy earned a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Environmental Engineering with a specification in Energy and the Environment. Throughout his studies, he worked on projects related to photovoltaic systems and anaerobic digesters for solid waste management and energy production.

Omer Levy

Omer Levy

Environmental Engineer (BSc)

Omer is a graduate of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. During her studies, Omer led environmental projects involving monitoring air pollution and treatment of contaminated soils. Omer developed a solar learning environment for which she won an award in the GreenTech competition held by the Technion Sustainability Hub.
Daniel Alon Aboulafia

Daniel Alon Aboulafia

Environmental Engineer (BSc)

Daniel is currently completing her 4th year in Environmental Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. Daniel has experience working as a research analyst in various fields including water and air pollution treatment technologies. At Alfa, Daniel is involved in sustainability planning focused on water and waste, in addition to a variety of research projects.
