Background
The National Library of Israel is a unique building in the center of Jerusalem. Alfa oversaw the LEED design and certification process plus energy and sustainability consulting. It includes innovative energy-saving technologies for lower maintenance costs and a healthier working environment: an efficient HVAC system with rock-store, an innovative double-skin façade on the west side, solar photovoltaic generation, sensors and water-efficient fixtures.
A national landmark which implemented a holistic vision of sustainability and achieved LEED Platinum.
